Open Water Dive
Discover a new world, discover the underwater world. This course is where we get our feet wet. This is the first level of training to becoming a scuba diver. In this course you will understand the basics of scuba diving, you will learn about scuba equipment and you will learn all the skills both in confined water (swimming pool) and in open water (the sea).
The course consists of ten hours of theory and six pool and open sea training modules. During the theory you will learn everything you need to know about safety, equipment, gases, how your body is affected by pressure and much more. During the pool and open water sessions you will learn to use the scuba equipment and also do some diving.
Advanced Adventurer
This is the second level when it comes to diving. In this course we take a brief look at the different specialities in diving and get some information about them. The course includes theory and dives from a variety of specialities like Deep, Night, Navigation, and Boat.
The theory portion of this course is about ten hours and there will be a total of six dives.
Rescue Diver
As we advance as divers knowing the importance of self reliance and having the ability of rescuing someone is very important. This course is intense but everyone who has done this course has enjoyed it and appreciated the importance of the knowledge gained during this course.
The theory portion of this course ranges from ten to twelve hours and is followed by two days at sea for the practical portion. During the practical portion you will learn a variety of skills and also participate in many different scenarios.
To participate in this course you will also need to have a valid CPR qualification.
Advanced Open Water Diver
To be an advanced open water diver you will need to log some dives and have at least four specialities. You can check the specialities available in the speciality course section.
Master Diver
This is one level just before becoming a professional in the industry, namely a Dive Master. To qualify to be a Master Diver you will need at least four speciality courses and the Rescue Diver Course.
A Master Diver is the highest level a recreational diver can obtain.
Specialities
Nitrox Diver
Nitrox or Enriched Air Nitrox is when we increase the percentage of Oxygen in our gas mix. This course will teach us the important safety concerns of using Oxygen or at least higher percentages of Oxygen in our breathing air mixtures. In this course we will learn to use up to 40% Oxygen.
The duration of the course is six hours of theory and two dives.
Boat Diver
This course is basically what the name says. We learn vital information about diving from boats. We also learn about different boats and how to choose the best boat for our dives.
This course has three hours of theory and two dives from a boat.
Navigation Diver
As we develop our skills as a diver, navigational skills underwater become more and more important to us, especially when we are discovering new dive sites. This course gives us the skills required to navigate underwater.
The duration of the course is three hours of theory and two dives.
Night and Limited Visibility Diver
Diving at night is an experience that can only be lived, no matter how it is described only experiencing it for yourself will allow you to understand how amazing it is. Not only do we see marine life that is only active at night but the vibrant colours are much more intense at night. This is really a course that should be on everyone's to do list.
The duration of the course is three hours of theory and two (evening / night) dives.
Perfect Buoyancy
One of the most important things of diving is buoyancy; this is how we distinguish good divers from bad divers. This course will help you enhance your knowledge and skills with regard to buoyancy so that you can be a better diver.
The theory portion of this course is three hours and two dives.
Deep Diver
Most people at one point or another want to exceed the 30m depth limit. If you are one of those people then this is a course for you. After completion of the deep diver course you can dive down to 40m. This is a very nice course explaining deep diving in much more detail.
The duration of this course is four hours of theory and three dives.
Search and Recovery
This course teaches us how to search underwater. We will learn to mark specific areas and items underwater and to learn the use of a lift bag so that we can lift the item required from underwater. This course can be combined with the Rescue course.
This course has four hours of theory and two dives.
Dry Suit
During this course we will learn the use of a dry suit. We will learn all the skills required to dive safely with a dry suit.
This course has two hours of theory and two dives.
Full Face Mask
During this course we will learn the usage of full face masks and also the use of communication underwater using the full face mask communication system.
This course has 4 hours of theory and two dives
